Delete your Servolo account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Servolo account and associated personal data.

How to request account deletion

  1. Email privacy@servolo.app or support@servolo.app from the email address registered on your Servolo account.
  2. Use the subject line: Servolo account deletion request.
  3. Include your full name, the email on your account, and whether you are a homeowner or contractor.
  4. We may ask you to confirm your identity before deleting the account.
  5. After we verify the request, we will delete your account and associated personal data as described below, usually within 30 days.

Data that is deleted

When your Servolo account is deleted, we delete or irreversibly de-identify, where reasonably possible:

Data that may be kept for a limited time

Some information may be retained for a limited period for legal, security, billing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or backup purposes, for example:

Retained records are generally kept only as long as needed for those purposes — typically up to 24 months, unless a longer period is required by law or an active dispute/investigation.

Content that is shared with other users (for example a review left on another user’s profile, or a message already sent) may remain visible to those users until it is removed as part of deletion processing, or may be anonymized instead of fully removed where needed to preserve the integrity of another person’s account history.

Request deletion of some data without deleting your account

You can also email privacy@servolo.app to request access, correction, or deletion of specific personal information without closing your account. Tell us what data you want deleted. We will respond as required by applicable privacy law (including PIPEDA in Canada).
